I removed the Steering Gear Assembly and the Steering Shaft. This was not that hard since I had already removed/loosened all the bolts holding the gear assembly onto the frame.
The gear assembly is located and bolted to the front right part of the frame.
The hose return and the hose pressure runs from the gear assembly to the steering pump (which I already removed).
Here are a few shots of how it sits and is bolted to the jeep.
Here are a couple pictures of the gear assembly and the steering shaft after I removed it. I left the bracket on the gear assembly.
