Power Steering

The last thing connecting the engine/transmission to the frame was the power steering.  When I started working on this I realized that I never drained the fluid.

Here is the pump which has two hoses attached to it.

At first I was going to remove the whole steering box from the frame, but later decided to just disconnect the two hoses that run from the pump to the steering box.

Here is a shot of two of the bolts connecting the steering box to the front of the frame.

Here is the steering box from the drivers side.  I loosened the bolts some to check how rusted they were.

This is the steering box from underneath.  The steering box is held onto the frame by a bracket and 6 bolts which were pretty rusted.

Underneath again

I finally wised up and decided to just remove the two hoses, let it drain, and be done with it for now.  I will just remove the pump and the box once I get the engine pulled.
