Transmission & Clutch Removal

I finally was able to remove the transmission and clutch today.  I'm still not 100% sure if I am going to use this T4 when I start putting the Jeep back together.  I'm thinking about upgrading to a T176.

Thanks to my neighbor, I was able to use his engine lift.  Here is the trans strapped up ready to be pulled.

Unbolted the four bolts from the transmission to the clutch housing, unbolted the 3 bolts under the cross bar and then pulled the transmission right out

This was the bracket that was attached to the cross bar.  I saved both

I rigged it up so that I can put the transmission on this furniture dolly.  Now I can roll it around if I need to move it.  I got another larger dolly for the engine too.  It is a lot cheaper than an engine stand.

Here is a shot before I removed the clutch housing.

When removing I forgot to remove the starter and the back flywheel access plate.  Once I remove all of that the housing came right off.

Here is the clutch cover that was held on by six bolts

Once removed the clutch and the cover came off.  There is also a small metal ring that was in the center.  I'm not sure if that is supposed to be loose or not.  I guess I need to research that.

Here is a shot of the flywheel.  This is where I stopped for the day.  I could not figure out how to get the 6 bolts off of this.  Every time I tried to turn the wrench the whole crank shaft would turn with it.  The bolts also looked very rusted.  I checked a few ideas online.  I would like to get this removed before I pull the engine.
