I made the mistake and painted the wheel studs when painting the rear axle. I tried to clean them off with a die, but decided that it was best to just replace them. I purchase the new wheel studs from Morris4X4. I was able to get all 10 studs and 10 lug nuts for $20 with shipping.
Used this hammer and knocked out the studs.
I then used this crowbar to stop the axle from spinning while pressing in the new studs with the old lug nuts and a CV nut.
Got all the studs pressed in with no problems. Might have been a little easier with an impact gun instead of an angle iron. I guess I need to try and buy a good impact gun.

An impressive post, I just gave this to a colleague who is doing a little analysis on this topic. And he is very happy and thanking me for finding it. But all thanks to you for writing in such simple words. Big thumb up for this blog post!
